RaneeC: Hardcore Monday :)

Thanks to our dearest photographer Ben Staples and all models, our LookDiary was just updated with our newest collection for Spring/ Summer 2011. And our models have a couple words to all of you! We are all sexy and free tights lovers, hope you are too!

So today, as everyone will certainly agree, is the most hardcore Monday ever. First day after Thanksgiving break and 2 weeks from final exams. With all the group projects and rehearsals, it could get pretty stressful. I have one advice for you: Muffin Man! Sing this song whenever you feel stressed, the muffin man will bring you joy and comfort!

Last but not least, today is such a nice day I wore my beautiful butterflies again! It always brings happiness to me whenever people ask me where'd I get my tights. Hehee.. It's not a secret! Shh...

RaneeC: Muchos besos :)

Something has been bothering me.. I don't know how to express through words anymore. I'm not even sure I want to try to define it. It's just this itch inside that I want to get rid of, knowing that I'll miss it. One of my best friends Emma reminded me my own motto - Don't worry, Be happy! Never put myself in uncomfortable situations. Think happy! It's been fun and it's been real. But it has to stop. Now! Nonetheless, I am so glad I have a friend who  never judges and always guiding me. She doesn't put me back on the right track when I'm going towards the wrong direction. She only and definitely makes sure it is my own free will, that I understand the consequences. But when things get bad, she's always here to pick me back up on my feet. You're awesome Emma! And yes I'm still a baby doll after all!

Train tracks.. Everyone's leaving the house today. Katie and I sent the boys away by train. We were by the tracks. Waiting. Absorbing every last bit of breath from the most perfect breeze from break inside me. In. And out.

And I smile. It's a new day now! :)

RaneeC: I'm thankful for...:)

HAPPY THANKSGIVING BABES!

Coming back from New York City, I can only say I can't get rid of my shades! They are essential to hide my messed up mascara and smudged eyeliner. Try to freshen up a little, but there's an African American mum trying to comb out her little daughter's hair. I've written a whole research paper on this, I know what's going on, but I don't know the extent of which it may go. She was balling her eyes out like nobody's business, for what seemed like a century. The outburst of a child in pain is really hard to stand. I cannot stay in there and clean out my make up without feeling unsettled, jumpy, like something is nibbling at my heart.  My eyes grew watery, it was hard to stay in there any longer. And so I left, leaving all mixed feelings of cultural unjust at the ladies' room.

Arrived at the dinner, the little twin girls are cute as usual! The women cooked while the men  cheered for the Patriots game. So glad they won thus making the dinner more enjoyable. The kids all sat at a table, and of course I'm one of them! The twins showed me the largest box of chocolate, of which I took the best one - caramel They also gave me my first set of silly bandz. They're adorable hehee.

And we all went to Edaville last night! It is a place of lights, x'mas lights. They're really adorable. It was definitely too cold to be outdoor at night for 2 hours, but the place worth the chill. My first time seeing so many lit-ups, and a train ride, and the little ride that got me laughing so hard I warmed up! It was awesome!!

And the rest will be left unspoken. *wink*

By the way, I send out a mass text to everyone to wish all my babes a happy thanksgiving! And some of the texts that returned are pretty funny/ touching/ interesting:
"Wow i was just texting you happy thanksgiving too lol much love for you too <3"
"Happy turkey day! Gobble gobble gobble"
"Niceee! Eat a lot of turkey and have fun!! :)"
"I'm flattered that you consider me a babe..."
"Don't forget about my birthday! :)"
"U too. We miss u. Ate all the muffins" (darnit! lol)
I LOVE YOU ALL!!

Smile! :)

RaneeC: 32 hrs in NYC :)

Nov 24th
12am-2am Hookah at St. Marks with Linda, my dearest bestest high school friend whom I would definitely marry if I'm a guy lol
2am-5am Karaoke at Biny's with Jacqui, and her friends (Shelley, Jeffrey, and MiHo). Shy but interesting.
5am-8am drowsy nappy while texting the whole time in bed
8am-1pm got up, get ready and REALIZE I'M LOCKED INSIDE THE HOUSE! It was funny though since I woke everyone up in the house to figure out how to get out of the house. It was quite scary actually! And I finally understand the phobic with the elevator thing - the feeling of being trapped. Jacqui and Shelley both bought some RaneeC tights after a girlie bonding hour of trying on and matching. Fun and girly to start my day off, I like!
1pm-3pm Had brunch at Perry St. It was amazing! Definitely recommend everyone to go! Photo will be posted soon. (When I say soon, I mean..... lol)
3pm-5pm Met up with Jacqui and the crew to shop! YAY! (While texting a beloved in a traffic jam.) Awesome shopping experience. Checked out a lot of HUE and what everyone's buying and choosing around that stockings area. This is true: "Guys like to eat, while girls like to shop!"
5pm-8pm Michelle time! We went for bubble tea, karaoke, dinner, and dessert! Best best best K town experience!! We went to all the delicate places around! Heheee. It was such a great catch up session with her first three months of college freshman experience at Columbia, and me with....... haha everything!
8pm-12am Hookah same place. I broke my record of continuous hookah time and people along. It was a grand total of 3.5 hrs, which is a lot of hookah for me! And a grand total of 13 kids with me, out of which I know 5 beforehand whom are all my bestees in high school!! They're all around NYC uni/ colleges, but not all of them like it, which is completely understandable. Jeanie, Linda, Peng, Milo, and Kobe. Aww.. I miss you all soo much and I love you all!
Nov 25
12am-7am Karaoke same place. Brought 9 friends with me and yea things got a LITTLE out of hand.. Fun times nevertheless.

Oh! So I missed my bus this morning, because of the delicious x'mas Macy's parade which they closed off the two major streets for. Of course I missed the whole parade for coming back in time to surprise Katie's family. And yes it worked! Apparently I missed out a lot that's happened in the past 32 hours, but you know what... it's cool! Sometimes it has to be ME-time than OTHERS-time. Plus I caught up as soon as I came back with a lot of help *wink wink*

I'm so happy I cannot explain! The fact that I saw so many high school friends made me wana hug and kiss them and cuddle them like a teddy bear! I have not seen some of them for more than a year now, a.k.a. since graduation! It is very rare that a group like this all gather together from different states to see each other and feel each others' importance in us.

Life is good and kisses are underrated! So smile through life and kiss people you care about! Much fun much love <3

RaneeC: Chocoholic :)

Tried not to be one of those Americans who uses Thanksgiving break as an excuse not to work out and keep eating. Well I just failed. Indulging myself into this outrageous slightly moisturous yet crispy chocolate fudge brownie, I think I just crossed the line! Well, it is Thanksgiving BREAK!
... see what I mean?!

So Katie and I drove back to Boston last night. Watching the sunset, listening to "Young Forever", I missed my girls. My tight core group of nine girls called ourselves the "POP" (pthetap)! Of course Katie is one of them. Then there's Avani, Annalisa, Linda, Nikkii, Sarah, Sarina, and Parvati. We are all from different places with different background! Very very diverse I would think! It has been awesome this year, much more hang out with them sober! And many more lunch and dinner dates!

Oh and I have to mention the birthdays. Almost half of us have our birthdays around November! So, this month has been busy! We always make a huge thing for our beloved girlies! The best present, the best birthday acapella group singing, and the best surprise I think, definitely come from our little group of girls! Singing the birthday song at the Harry Potter midnight premier with full house audiences in the theatre around is a blast! I love you PThetaP!

Went out grocery shopping with Gigi, Katie's grandmother who looks like 50 at most, we filled her fridge with everything you can imagine! Legit, everything! From apples to milk, cereal to chicken wings! Everything needed in life to survive. I think one word should cover all, or maybe two: Eatable Food! And yes, with all those groceries, Gigi made lamb shank, mashed potato, asparagus, and cole slaw tonight. Yes, everything from scratch, not canned!

Been wearing my daily thin black step-tights the whole day, it's awesome! Thin and comfy! Make me feel homey and bring me the cravings to just chill on the couch and watch CSI: Miami while blogging about life with tights, which is exactly what I'm doing right now! To top that, I've been in a facebook war with Katie and Emma about who can do dishes better for an hour! And skyping with Katie who sits right across from me in the living room, ever did that?! I've been laughing so hard with everything that's going on, I started tearing up! Haha life during thanksgiving break is always epic! Oh don't get me started about last year!

RaneeC: Maine Blue :)

I have completely dwelled into the color of the lake and sky in Maine, that particular blue that I've decided to name "Maine Blue". It is definitely the most calming and leisurely color. The color of rest, of ease, and of peace. The combination of the fall trees, the warm sun, the little cottage by the lake that have withstood time, and of course the Maine blue, made everything all so beautiful, all so peaceful, all so perfect!

So my life has been evolving around ice hockey quite a lot these days. For all sorts of violence issues, I had always refused to watch a full game. The first time I saw anything related was in high school. My best friend's brother used to play hockey and she spent a good hour once simply on YouTube checking out hockey games and people crushing into the sides, and breaking fingers and bones. Oh! I can't forget the blood shed video. Nope, never watched a full game.

Until past Wednesday, Katie my dearest had her first scrimmage with a surround school. We won 6-1, and I stayed and watched the whole game, It was interesting. Every strike the hockey stick hits the puck, my attention grew, as well as my interest. It wasn't that bad. It was chill and sporty, and I like it. The way players glide on ice, the sound of the crowd, the blades under their feet, and the strikes. All so graceful yet gently competitive.

So, we went to another game yesterday to cheer on our men's varsity team since we're in the area. "Just a little" different.. I enjoyed it nonetheless. I've taught myself to focus on the skills all athletes had on that battlefield of theirs, the speed they skate from one side to another, the competitiveness they try to achieve, and the fire in every one of them. It was quite enlightening, to know how ignorant and stubborn I used to be, and to see the change of acceptance towards ice hockey. Someone has changed me.

Left the house at 9am this morning with no make up and sweats tights, just because Katie knows how the weather is like, without checking. Had breakfast with an old friend of hers - Nicole, it was a great catch up since last time I've met her, same time last year. She cut her hair boy-short and she has the most incredible smile and adorable blush. She's happy!

And so am I! Smile :)

RaneeC: Smile :)

It is November 20, 2010. First blog. Ever.

Arrived Maine last night at 10pm with Katie. It is always fun to take a little road trip with her up to visit her dad, mainly because it is the only 2 hours in a whole month where we get to spill our hearts out. Whatever we think, whatever we feel, we spill! Usually I'm the squirrel who can't stop speaking and can't stand the awkward silence. You should know the difference between awkward silence and thoughtful silence. The awkward silence never exists between us. It is either me speaking, her speaking, or just two best friends being content with each other's presence.

Her dad is an amazing cook! The reason he is amazing is not purely because he makes the best sunny-side-up eggs and buttered-toast, along with excellent pancakes, sausages, and hash browns, for my first breakfast in 3 months since school started. It is his passion, desire, and interest to cook. You can tell when someone really enjoy doing what he's doing. It is true with her dad and cooking. It is simply fascinating to watch him cook for what seems like a century, well half an hour to be exact.

I have to admit I have a little.. something when I see passionate people. It gives me a warm feeling inside. I love seeing the fire inside them. It may sometimes appear weird when you just stare at someone for a really long time. But usually it is fine, since when they're doing something they're passionate about, they love to share and they love to know that the person observing is as interested to that subject as they are. Of course I know that.

I've always loved Maine. Except the weird weather they have here (Sunny and cold), they have the truest state slogan - "Maine- The way life should be".

Due to the weather, I'm going to have to wear my winter-thick wool black tights, made for snow. They are as thick as sweats but better brings out your body figure. Smile :)
